Grooming Appointment Cancellation

Please give 48hrs notice of cancellation (notice must be given during working hours Tuesday – Saturday 9am – 5pm).
Of course, we understand that things happen but please let us know ASAP if you cannot come in for your appointment. If less than 24 hours notice is given, you will still be charged full price for the slot. (This fee will need to be paid before your dog can be rebooked for another appointment).

Late and No shows

  • Changing an appointment the day before up until the salon closes  (messages after opening hours is considered a same day cancellation) €50 fee

  • Same day cancellation 100% of the grooming fee will apply

  • No shows (meaning no phone call or calling after the appointment has already started) the full missed grooming appointment fee will apply and a non refundable deposit (100% of the booked appointment) is needed to make the appointment.

If you are more then 15 minutes late for your appointment we may need to reschedule and the 50% fee will apply. No shows has to pay the price of the missed appointment and a non-refundable deposit 100% of the booked appointment. More then two no-shows will mean that no further appointments will be reserved until all due fees are paid as well as all of the missed grooming fees in advance. Customers that repeatedly miss appointments will be removed from our client list and refused further services.

Collecting Policy

If your pet is collected after closing time, a sitting fee of €5 per 15 minutes is applied. This is payable in full at the time you collect your pet.

Other Rules

  • All dogs must be kept on leads and must not be allowed to soil in the Boutique. Please walk and toilet your dog before their appointment.

  • Photographs: Your pet may be photographed before, during and after its groom. Photographs may be used on Monika’s Grooming’s website, social media sites or other printed materials. You can always ask us not to publish the taken pictures on social media. If you wish to do this, please let us know before the grooming.

  • For new costumers we might require to pay a deposit at the booking to secure your spot, or we ask you to pay upfront, before we start the grooming.

  • All dogs should be regularly treated for fleas. If we find evidence of fleas on your dog we will wash in flea shampoo. There is an extra fee of €10 to cover flea shampoo and defleaing the salon.

  • No more then 15 minutes dematting will be carried out on any dog. If a dog is severely matted we will clip off the coat. Dematting can be a painful and traumatic procedure and it is inhumane to spend longer brushing out a matted coat. A fee for matted coats does apply to cover the extra time and wear and tear on equipment. We NEVER de-matt puppies,infirm/elderly or aggressive dogs.

  • Aggressive or difficult dogs may be refused and/or extra fees shall apply. The client understands that they will be held liable for all bites/injuries caused by their dog.

  • Policy regarding Kennel Cough. Kennel cough is an extremely contagious air born virus. If your dog has been diagnosed with KC and has finished treatment, we have been advised by veterinary experts to wait for 1 month before allowing them into the Grooming Salon. Similarly, if your dog has been vaccinated with the KC vaccination, then we can not allow access until 2 weeks have passed. This is because the vaccine is a “live” vaccine, meaning that your dog could pass on the virus to other dogs by expelling the virus as they breath and cough
